Brunswick Crossing 5K Twilight Valley Trail race to Save the WB Tower

Get ready to lace up on May 19th, as Brunswick Crossing hosts The 5K Twilight Valley Trail Run to save the WB Tower. “WB Tower” is the last railroad tower operating in MD, closed in Oct 2011. The City of Brunswick, the Brunswick Potomac Foundation and the Brunswick Rail Road Museum have joined forces to save this last piece of Brunswick Railroad History, raising funds to move the WB from its current location to a new location. Brunswick Crossing is proud to contribute to this worthy cause.

Push Media Group Applies for Trains Preservation Grant

Alexandria, VA--

September 3, 2012

The Push Media Group today applied for the $10,000 preservation grant offered by Trains Magazine and Kalbach Publishing to help save WB Tower. This annual grant is presented to non-profit organizations that are involved in railroad related projects.

With the funds that have been collected for the tower so far, this should help the tower project become a reality possibly by the end of 2012.

 

WB Tower Project Featured in March 2013 CSX Company Newsletter

This month, the WB Tower project was featured in the CSX Company newsletter complete with all of the info on the project and a E721 empty train passing the tower in December of 2011.
